REFLECT:
Have you ever been lost before, especially, while driving you to miss the turn-off exit, the natural GPS fails and goes off, and confusion and panic set in? Now in the bid to find the way out you drive round and round in circles.

When you think the situation could not get any worse, you suddenly hit a cul-de-sac in a lonely and unfamiliar territory. Now it isn’t just panic, but frustration and fear as night begins to fall.

At this point, the only name anyone who has ever been in such a situation before can remember— (if we are sincere to ourselves) — to call out to is – JESUS!!

Yes, how interesting! That the name of Jesus always comes in handy when we find ourselves in deep trouble-believers in Christ and unbelievers alike.

Amazingly after we call on Jesus, there is a sudden shift. By just mentioning that name, a still small voice from deep within us whispers, turn around, take the next turn directing us supernaturally and finally, you are set again on the right way and eventually get to the right destination.

Some may discard this fact, but this is very true to so many of us, we can relate to this recount. This is all because of only one name – – JESUS.

So, what is the thing with the name of Jesus? Why is this name so special and effective? Why do circumstances, situations, people, and things respond with a sense of knowing to this name?

Our Bible verse for today gives us the right context to help us understand the reason why the name of Jesus is the most unique and special name on the face of this planet and even beyond.

This is what our Bible verse has to say about this, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 (KJV).

Therefore, it is by Divine decree that it is only in Jesus and by Him that any man, woman, child, and the entire creation can be saved and redeemed. Why is this and how can we prove this?

We find evidence for this fact in the pages of the Bible, historical accounts, and the cause of all creation. We will discuss a few of these facts.

First Jesus is God Almighty, we are told this in Revelations 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (KJV). Therefore, as Almighty God, He has the full jurisdiction and power to save.

Secondly, He created the whole of creation, whether things visible or invisible.” For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him, all things consist.” Colossians 1:16-17 (KJV).

Thirdly, He passed the test, as being God Almighty, but humbled Himself to take upon sinful flesh. He came down to the level of man and was born into this world. He went to the cross to die a gruesome death, was buried but was raised from the dead on the third day all to save and redeem man from sin and death. Philippians 2: 5-11.

Fourthly, He is the author of eternal life. Hebrews 5:9 “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.” (KJV)

Fifth point, He is the only way to God, the only truth about God, and the only life of God. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14: 6 (KJV).

The sixth point, He is the faithful Amen, whose testimony about Himself is true and there is no falsehood whatsoever. “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.” Revelations 3:14(KJV); John 8:12 – 18.

The seventh point, He is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the object of our faith, it is in Him that our faith begins, and in Him, our faith ends. When we talk about faith here, we mean the kind of faith we have in Jesus that produces Divine results. The kind of faith that moves Heaven to move and respond on our behalf. One that can move mountains.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 (KJV).

” And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20 (KJV).

Eighth and final point, In the whole cause of the history of mankind, the life, person, and acts of Jesus are the most mentioned, written about, researched, sought out for, and emulated. The reason for this boils down to how His divine nature impacted the whole cause of mankind and creation in general. ”
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” John 21:25 (KJV).

It is for these reasons mentioned above and many more throughout history recorded in the Bible and many books that stand as authentic proof that the name of Jesus and the person of Jesus is the only way and solution for the salvation of mankind.

It does not matter how far gone a person’s state, circumstances, or situation is, Jesus still has the power, and capacity to save, deliver, heal, and restore. For indeed there is No Other Name, No Other Way!

Therefore, all anyone of us has to do is believe and call out to Him saying “JESUS! Save me!

When we bring ourselves to Jesus, totally believing and trusting in His name, Lordship, and Divine capacity as God Almighty, He will respond to us with everything that His Divine and Heavenly mandate decrees about who He is.

For it is written, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in the earth.” Matthew 28: 18 (KJV).
