Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God, and every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth God. 1 John 4:7 (KJV).

REFLECT:
As we know, everybody on earth is born into a family. Therefore, as children born into a family, we do realize that we are connected to every aspect of what the family is connected to.

As we grow up to recognize our place within the family we are born into, we become familiar with everything that has to do with that particular family. We become familiar with the behavior patterns, thought patterns, mannerisms that are associated with each member of the family, but what is even more amazing is that all of this genetic makeup that comes to form our perceptions and mannerisms flows from one source, our respective fathers, the one responsible for the birth process of each child. This means each child carries the genetic blueprint of their father.

This genetic blueprint is associated with the patterns of behavior, mannerisms, and physical appearances acquired from this one source, the Father. In the same way, as believers in Christ Jesus, we are made aware that our Spiritual genetic makeup and DNA flows from our Heavenly FATHER. At this point, we must bear in mind that the Spiritual has a tangible effect, influence, and power over the physical. Which means that all that our Heavenly FATHER is we are.

So, what do we know about our Heavenly FATHER? What spiritual genetic blueprint have we received from Him? Our Bible verse for today gives us the answers we need. The genes or genetics of our Heavenly FATHER is LOVE, this is the totality of His entire essence. This verse goes on to tell us also that if we are certain we come from Him we then must be aware that we carry the same spiritual gene – the Love gene. This means we must manifest this Love everywhere we go and in whatsoever we do in our daily lives, love must be expressed through us to everyone we interact with.

We may wonder how these spiritual characteristics we acquired can be translated into the natural. This is simple, the spiritual realm controls and dictates whatever happens in the physical realm, and we are the conduits through which God makes His intentions known on the earth, this is what Mathew 6: 10 translates to us “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven, ” meaning, as in the spiritual – in Heaven, so shall it be made manifest in the physical – on the earth, through us God’s vessels.

Therefore, as our Bible verse for today enjoins us by vividly bringing to our attention who we truly are, and what we carry as part of our spiritual genetic makeup, we must strive to make it a point to be worthy bearers of this love gene, by willingly loving others as our Heavenly FATHER loved and still loves us in Christ Jesus.

John 4:7, that GOD is Love and whosoever is born of GOD loves like HIM—–Our Love Genetic BluePrint.

What manner of love the FATHER has bestowed on us, that we should be called the sons of GOD (1 John 3:1) – this should be our reality.
