For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV).

REFLECT:
The Amazing Love and Goodness of God! Love is not love if not demonstrated, and love if put in its right perspective can positively impact and change our world.

Indeed, we would all agree that the world we live in is in dire need of the love of God. A lot of people have tried to replicate this love, hinging it mainly on emotions and feelings, or based on reciprocal agreement.

Moreso, we know that nothing in life is permanent and changes occur, especially physical changes and unforeseen challenges. When this happens, such love dwindles and as a result, we get hurt, disappointed, dissatisfied, and even hateful. This should never be the case if we understand the true nature of the Love and Goodness of God.

So what is the Goodness of God’s Love?
First and foremost, to understand this, we must do this from the right perspective, which is that ‘GOD is LOVE.’ This is who He is, it is His nature. This means that Love is the totality of who God is; God is love and love is God.

Secondly, God’s Love is unconditional, it is not based on what we do, how we act, or what we say. Therefore, it cannot diminish, dwindle, and cannot be affected or influenced by earthly or mundane factors.

Thirdly, God’s Love is grounded and based on the law of Covenant, an unbreakable agreement. Which means that it is everlasting.

Fourthly, God’s Love is based on truth and commitment. It can never lie, it produces, delivers, and keeps to its promises. It is bound by an oath, His bond. Hebrews 6:13 – 18.

Fifth point, God’s Love is Active and Alive. It is a vibrant and demonstrative love that He has freely given to us in His Son Jesus Christ.

To sum up all we have just said is this fact, that God’s love is already with us, therefore, we must not look any further, He is Jesus. All we need to do is accept God’s love today.

In accepting God’s love, we accept God’s best, walk-in His best, live out His best, experience His best, and demonstrate His best. For the Goodness of God’s Love comes packaged in His best and ultimate gift to the world–and that is JESUS the only begotten Son of God our Heavenly Father.

FATHER GOD, thank You for loving me unconditionally. It’s because of Your Son that I can spend eternity with You. It’s because of Your love, that I have abundant life! Today, please help me to accept Your love, and to show it to other people. Strengthen my faith as I intentionally draw closer to You. In JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN.
