A Willing Messenger

I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. Isaiah 6:8 (KJV).

REFLECT:
Whose messenger, are you? Or What message do you proclaim? Believe it or not, every one of us is a message bearer, carrier, or advocate for someone or something. One way to know this is to be attentive to the things we are passionate about. Some people are strong messengers or advocates of their careers, curriculum pathways, businesses, religious affiliations, etc.

However, unknown to many of us is the fact that everybody on earth has a message we have been called to deliver to the world, and what is more interesting is that, this message is linked to the message giver, who is God Almighty the Creator of the entire universe.

This message that was given has to do with the calling(s) that God has placed in and upon our lives. Unfortunately, many of us have either missed, mixed up, confused, or have completely derailed from the original message that was put in our genetic makeup from the intended accuracy it was meant to despatch.

Hence most of the messages delivered by their messengers out there in the world are so skewed up, inaccurate, misleading, off course, and worse still, totally bizarre, and out of tune. Why is this the case? This is because along the way, because of sin from the fall of man in the Garden of Eden recounted in the Bible, we were disconnected from the source and producer of the message God Almighty.

However, God in His infinite mercy and love made a way to reconnect us back to Him through His Son Jesus Christ. Thus, in accepting Jesus into our lives as Lord and Savior we also receive or are reconnected to the original message God created or intended for us to walk in from the beginning of time. This is the message of our purpose in God, our destiny, and our calling.

Furthermore, when we accept Jesus, God gives us the power through His Holy Spirit to accurately proclaim the message of this purpose for which we were designed to the world.

It is only when we accept the gift of God’s Salvation and Redemption in His Son Jesus Christ, can we then be qualified to say ‘Here I am Lord send me!

PLEASE PRAY ALONG:

Send Me!

FATHER GOD, I know that a life poured out for You is a life well-lived. So please fill me up for Your glory and pour me out for Your purposes. Show me how to persevere in the calling You have given me even when it feels hard. And give me the ability to see people the way You see them, and to love them the way You do. Here I am, Lord—use me for Your glory. In JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN.
