God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 (KJV).

REFLECT:
Security is a big issue for almost every one of us. To show us how important the aspect of security is, most organizations have it as a part of their goals to provide their staff and customers with adequate security when working with such individuals.

The reason for this is so that the employee or customer can feel safe and comfortable while on the job or doing business with the organization. This increases morale, and trust and is very good for business.

Now security cuts across and affects various aspects of our lives. For example, it could be connected to our emotional, psychological physical, material, social, and spiritual well-being.

As human beings, we go the extra mile to make sure all these components of our lives mentioned above are well guarded, safe and secure from marauders who work against our wellbeing.

Lots of money, time, and effort are put to make sure that our security goals are met and realized. However, the issue with all of this is that there is still no end in sight to our security problems.

Moreover, in recent times we see new and more intricate conspiracies being used against our lives that pose greater security risks to our wellbeing. Hence, there is a continuous striving on our part to find new and innovative ways to solve these challenges. Leaving us constantly drained and stressed.

What we must realize is that we cannot solve this problem on our own understanding or strength. Our best bet for a solution is to engage God and solicit His Divine help. It is only Him that has all that it takes to combat the evil devices of the enemy.

Our Bible verse for today — Psalm 46:1—- gives us some comforting and encouraging hope in this regard. It provides us with the understanding of what our Father in Heaven is capable of. Declaring His ultimate ability and power to handle and solve every issue that works against our safety and security.

Indeed, God has the ultimate strength we need for all security needs and requirements because of His dependable track record, this track record is seen everywhere in the Bible.

What is this track record? This track record is that He always shows up as a fortified refuge, strength, and strong tower. A place of safety and help for His children, and He is always available whenever, and wherever we need this help. This qualifies Him as the ‘Ultimate Strength, and the Ultimate Security we can ever have.

Therefore, we must make it a point to understand that in times of chaos and uncertainty God is always our strength, Security, Certainty, Hope, Joy, and Peace. When we fully realize this, we will begin to live a life completely shielded from the terrors of darkness. Psalms 91 is a testimony to this fact.

Trusting in God as our Ultimate Strength and Ultimate security will always give us the fortification and armory, we need to combat every security issue we face.
